Choosing useful listening criteria
I am editing a short podcast introduction with music underneath the first sentence. Listening to the cue separately does not tell me enough about the spoken transition. I would like to separate the balance of the mix from any texture in the source. My first comparison would keep the narration and music levels unchanged. I would also retain the original cue so every change remains reversible. The narrator has a soft delivery, and the cue includes a sustained background layer. I would listen to the opening both on headphones and on a small speaker, noting whether individual words remain easy to follow at a comfortable volume. I came across
suno fix while looking for possible approaches to this question. I have not made a processed comparison and do not know whether it would help. Any improvement would need to preserve the character of the transition. What would you compare first when speech and generated music compete for attention?
